“Teen Mom 2” star Jenelle Evans’ husband David Eason reportedly had been “covered in blood” after the killing of the tiny French bulldog named Nugget earlier this week in North Carolina.
According to The Blast, Eason “grabbed the dog by the throat and slammed it on the ground.” He threw the helpless pup into the side of the kitchen table after videoing the dog nipping at the couple’s two-year-old child. A photo didn’t show any skin broken – the crying child’s cheek however was bright pink.
As if throwing Nugget against the kitchen table wasn’t enough, Eason picked up the dog’s lifeless body and threw him out the door, took him into the woods and then grabbed a gun and shot the puppy to death.
“Everyone in the house was too terrified to stop him during the attack…the scene was so intense and traumatic that nobody said anything,” the Blast reported.
Eason defended his actions for killing Nugget, however the video shared on social media clearly showed how the dog was baited to nip at the little girl’s face. In the video the dog is seen on the couch with the child, as she tried to push forward to get a kiss from the dog who seemed stressed and cowered as he pulled away. In fear, the dog nips at the child causing her to cry. It was obvious there was no intervention from any adult, and both the dog and the little girl were scared, yet Eason did nothing while filming the uncomfortable situation.
“I don’t give a damn what animal bites my baby on the face …whether it be your dog or mine, a dog is a dog and I don’t put up with that s*** at all,” Eason wrote. “I’m about protecting my family, it is my lifes [sic] mission. Some people are worth killing or dying for and my family means that much to me. You can hate me all you want but this isnt[sic] the first time the dog bit Ensley aggressively. The only person that can judge weather [sic]or not a animal is a danger to MY CHILD is ME.”
Social media has erupted in rage since the death of the small dog, and animal lovers have been calling into the Attorney General’s Office in North Carolina demanding an investigation. An Animal Control officer arrived at the home on Thursday to confirm reports the dog had been killed and to locate where the dog’s body could be recovered. A “No Trespassing” sign was clearly displayed on the porch – a gray pit bull sat on the porch. Officers left and have requested the Sheriff’s Department continue the investigation.
In February 2018, Eason was thrown off Teen Mom 2 for his homophobic posts. He remains a strong supporter of gun rights and adamantly defends the legality of bump stocks.
The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office and Columbus County Animal Control have confirmed there is an investigation into allegations of animal cruelty.
In North Carolina, killing a family pet is a Class H felony.
