A stray dog walking through a shopping mall in Mérida, Yucatán, to steal a stuffed toy, has found his forever home. The adorable pup’s antic was caught on video, and it captured the hearts on social media.
It had been the dog’s feisty personality and his playfulness that attracted the customers.

The pup grabbed one of the stuffed teddy bear toys that are sold in the store and tried to quietly sneak out with the toy in his mouth. A worker spotted the dog stealing the toy and tried to take it away from him so he wouldn’t get into trouble, but the pup wasn’t about to submit to losing his fluffy friend.

The tug-of-war between the store clerk and the dog quickly drew attention from the other shoppers, and people were touched by the dog’s perseverance. Several of the customers decided to buy the toy for the dog.

It was on the dog’s way out of the store that a man named Allan decided the stray pooch needed more than a toy. Perhaps the dog pilfered the toy to make up for his loneliness? It was at that moment the homeless dog found his happily ever after.
Now named Thor, the “once lonely four legged bandit is safe, cherished and surrounded by a family.”

Allan’s kind act has given a once lonely, unwanted dog a warm and loving home.
After the video went viral, a kind-hearted man named Allan searched for the little pup and chose love over judgment by adopting him. Now named Thor, the once-lonely “four-legged bandit” is safe, cherished, and surrounded by a family who sees him not as a thief, but as a soul deserving of compassion.
Here’s the video:
From the streets to a warm home, Thor’s story reminds us that every stray is just one act of kindness away from a second chance.
Kindness counts.
