Very early this past Monday morning, a senior dog nicknamed Frappe by rescuers, was found hanging out at a local San Antonio Starbucks patio.

According to workers, Frappe had been in a doggy dispute with another dog (s); that is until some staff members of Starbucks intervened and broke up the melee. They gave Frappe some water and called 311 to make sure the senior pooch could get the help he needed.
The City of San Antonio Animal Care Services responded to the call, as they posted on social media,
Is this where they call out the pup cup orders? That’s a ruff morning before coffee!
Animal Care Officers Guevara and Santos arrived to find Frappe waiting outside of the store. They debated whether he wanted to be first in line to receive his pup cup, but the friendly dog handled the situation like a pro.

And if you’re asking if Frappe was reunited with his family, let me explain. Frappe’s real name is Duke, and days later, his family found him at Animal Care Services and safely brought him home.
Now here’s the lesson one might learn from Frappe’s situation. Had he been microchipped, he could have been reunited quickly with his family. That tiny microchip can make all the difference in the world finding a lost pooch.

The great news is, ACS is offering free microchip and vaccination clinics every weekend! Check out the upcoming clinics by visiting saacs.info/events
Welcome home Duke. Maybe ask your family for a ride to Starbucks and a pup cup the next time you’re in the mood?
