Two dogs stuck on snowy roof of abandoned home rescued

Thanks to the Prosperity, Pennsylvania Morris Township Volunteer Fire Department, two frightened dogs were rescued from a snowy roof in Washington County over the weekend.

The dogs were spotted on the roof of an abandoned home along the Prospect Pike in Morris Township. Firefighters responded and cleared brush and trees in order to set up a ladder to reach the dogs.

The dogs were turned over to the police who have since taken the dogs to the Washington County Humane Society.

It is not known  where the dogs and to whom they belong.
