2 abandoned newborn puppies found in mailbox at known crack house in North Carolina

Animal control Officers from Charlotte, North Carolina were called on Tuesday to a known crack house in Lancaster. The report was “there are puppies in the mail box”.

When agents arrived, indeed there were two puppies in the mailbox. It was Forgotten, Now Family Rescue who stepped up to help. Although rescuers have witnessed many disturbing situations, this was the first for this truly heartbreaking discovery.

Officers didn’t secure a mom or any other babies and this feels so off and heart breaking to me. These babies almost starved to death so we are taking them in and bottle feeding immediately. Thankfully a tech from the shelter loved on them overnight until we can take over this morning. Today we will send our own team over to the area to look for strays and and possible signs of more in need from us.

A team of rescuers were also sent to the area that same afternoon to look for strays and and possible signs of more in need. The sick human who put them in a mailbox deserves to be charged, and it is hoped more information will be brought forward. These babies deserve better.
