In the Waco,Texas area, six Pyrenees mix puppies were discovered duct taped in a box on the side of the road on Wednesday. It was by luck that a man spotted a large cardboard box and stopped to investigate. Obviously the puppies had been abandoned and left to die.

According to Fuzzy Friends Rescue, the person who found the puppies had no place to keep them, but did not leave them on the side of the road. Betsey Robinson, the founder of the rescue, posted the following on the organization’s Facebook page:

Animal advocates and supporters of the rescue were outraged at the cruelty of an unknown person who had carried out such a heartless deed. One person commented that she had seen someone trying to give away puppies a few days ago not far away.

Fortunately these puppies will be examined, vaccinated, spayed and neutered and microchipped and soon to be ready for adoption.

Animal neglect is illegal in all states with some states charging these heinous deeds as felonies.
