Lost pet pigeon reunited with his owner after missing for over a year after hurricane

In Cape Coral, Florida, do we have a stranger than the truth story for this Christmas season. What appeared to have been a regular, ordinary pigeon hanging outside of a local hairdressing salon, turned out to be a special bird who had been missing from his family for 15 months after he flew away during Hurricane Ian.

According to WsvnNews, a client had been at Eva’s Hair and Skin Salon when a pigeon started to draw attention at the front door. The bird had been drinking from the drops of water of a plant near the door, and it didn’t take long to notice the pigeon was friendly and could have been someone’s pet.

The client, a seasoned animal rescuer, picked up the friendly bird and found a phone number on the band on its foot.

we called him to see if he was missing a bird, and he says it’d been missing since the hurricane.

The owner was exuberant, and when the two were soon reunited; everyone at the salon could tell what a close relationship the two really had for each other. How cool is that?
