In Greenville, South Carolina, Halima was surrendered to the local animal shelter on Thursday pregnant and in labor. She had been in terrible distress; her puppies were not coming. The shelter posted Halima’s situation on social media at 5:00 p.m. and stated the dog needed to leave the shelter by 6:00 p.m.
It was Day Before the Rainbow, a 501(c)3 non-profit rescue and adoption organization dedicated to rescuing animals from high-kill shelters, from owners who can no longer care for them and those found as strays, who bravely stepped up to help.
I have a very full house, but they were going to put her down at 6pm tonight. I got the call at 5:15! So it was me or death. Of course she’s at my house now. She gave birth to her first puppy at 6pm when I arrived at the shelter to pick her up. Now we’re up to 4. She has an absolutely huge belly. My guess is 12! Anyone else wanna put in a guess?

The final count? 11 puppies were born – 6 females, 4 males and one stillborn. All the puppies are nursing well, and the mom ate some wet and dry dog food.

Gotta love the hate filled evangelicals who claim to be good christians, then do THIS to animals, while they rape, beat and starve children EVERY DAY, just read one today involving a MORMON family, claiming that’s what God wants for HIS INNOCENT babies and animals. Look forward to the next election cycle where I suspect THEY are in for a reality check unlike ANYTHING they’ve seen. Nothing but scum and trash trying to eradicate anyone who disagrees with their Hitler agenda. What’s next? They’ll probably make a law that says an abused child or animal MUST stay with their abusers because it’s good for them.
