The owner of a two-year-old Doberman Pinscher is grieving the horrible death of his emotional support dog killed in front of him at a west Houston landscaping company.
According to AbcNews, on April 19, 2023, George Baiamonte, accompanied by his niece and his dog, “Big Red Dog,” arrived at Champion Landscape to pick up supplies. The dog and George were very closely bonded; the two would sleep together, eat together and spend all their time together. George let the dog out of his truck to relieve himself, and within moments heard two gunshots.
George turned towards the gunshot sounds and saw a man approaching his dog and shoot his dog three more times in the head.
… That was traumatic in itself. I would have never thought in a million years to go somewhere i frequent often, that an employee would kill my animal.

The manager of the company, Joe McGehee, apologized for the situation, but stated that no one knew the dog had been a comfort dog or even that the dog belonged to a customer. The employee who shot and killed the dog said he had been sitting in his truck when the dog barked and charged at him.
George states it did not happen that way at all. The next day, George went back to the scene where his dog was killed and found a shell casing on the ground. The first two shots hit Big Red Dog in the leg, so why did the employee find it necessary to use three more bullets and shoot his dog in the head?
The Houston Police Department’s Major Offenders Division has now been assigned to the case.

Condolences from the Peters’ Menagerie. We hope that George and his family can get Justice for their horrific loss. That POS employee has earned himself a reserved spot in the hottest part of Hell for his cruelty. He will burn forever for his cruelty. There was no reason to kill Big Red Dog. I can think of many alternatives to killing Big Red Dog……. If I were the employer, I would have terminated the shooter immediately…….. who is next to be shot by this POS??? A child???
