The body of a 54-year-old woman was found in the stomach of a 22-foot long python on Monday morning.

The family had reported the woman missing on Sunday after they say she had been working near her home in Jambi, Indonesia, according to CNN Indonesia. The family had been searching for the woman, named Jahrah for hours when they found her sandals, headscarf and the tools she had been using at the rubber plantation.

Police were called out to help find the woman when a reticulated python with a bloated middle section had been spotted in the immediate area and suspected to have attacked the woman. Authorities killed the snake and then found the victim’s body in the snake’s stomach according to Detik News.

Reticulated pythons are the longest snakes in the world and have often been portrayed in scary monster movies. They are adept at climbing trees as they wrap their bodies around the trunk and use their powerful muscles to move upwards.

Pythons kill their prey through constriction, however generally choose smaller prey than humans. There were no witnesses.
