In St. Louis, Missouri, an extremely rare dog missing for three weeks has been found. The dog’s owners, Mason and Samantha Miller had just moved from Ohio, and when they let Tito out in his new backyard in St. Louis, he had escaped and fled.

According to the Facebook page, Finding Tito, the otterhound is an extremely rare breed, and it has been reported there are only 600 total worldwide.

A missing dog flyer had been attached to a stop sign just 20 feet from a construction site a man named Chuck was visiting. He found Tito in the foundation of the home which was under construction.

Tito was found in the foundation of a home that was under construction, and it’s been a rough run for him. He’s down to a little more than 60 pounds from his normal 100+ pounds, so it’s going to take some time to get him safely back up to where he should be. He probably didn’t eat too much for the 3+ weeks he’s been gone, but we will get him back to where he needs to be once he’s out of the hospital. Thank you everyone for all the support and effort, I can’t really describe in words right now the way Tito‘s disappearance tore at our family’s core, but saving him has been a salvation, and that couldn’t have happened but for everyone that is reading this post.. He was found because a sign was hanging at a stop sign 20 feet from the construction site that Chuck visited. It is truly the product of luck intersecting with an incredible outpouring of effort. But for an enormous effort to post sheets of paper at every intersection in St. Louis, as ridiculous as that sounds, it was one of those tattered sheets of paper that caused Chuck to call because the picture looked similar to that tired and downtrodden dog he saw in the basement of a foundation. Tito is back.
