Texas – Innocent dogs, unwanted for one reason or another, are scheduled to be put down today in San Antonio. It is a heartbreaking situation happening across the nation. People who have gone back to work and can no longer care for their pets, or the climbing inflation that has made caring for a pet too difficult. Regardless of the reasons, homeless pets are being put down because shelters have no room to care for them all.

On Monday morning, an advocate posted a link to multiple dogs at the San Antonio Animal Care Services facility, writing:

Please help share these innocent angels and find fosters and rescue. The shelter starts euthanizing at 12:30 CT so they only have a little bit of time left 🥲🥲. I’m so tired of all the needless killing. I am begging you to help!!!!!

Among those on the proverbial chopping block are Stacks, an eight-year-old Plott Hound.

And his friend (they are bonded), Hercules.

And two-year-old Daisy, a beautiful girl in the prime of her life.

Dogs like Cheese, who is just two years old, will likely not find help in time. This good boy knows tricks and loves affection, but bully breeds are usually the last to be chosen.

And sweet Applewhite, trying to be a good mother to her puppy – but being a mom, or a puppy, doesn’t matter when there is no room, and no one to save you.

Young Figuro (2 years) loves to play and cuddle, and he is polite with other dogs. But will anyone find him worthy of saving?

There are more dogs…there are always more. If you are interested in helping, please don’t hesitate to take action. The shelter location is listed below. Click on the dogs’ names above to find the link to their adoption profile.
