San Antonio, TX – A skeletal dog, surrendered by his owner to an open intake city animal control facility in San Antonio, finds himself on death row through no fault of his own. The dog, known only by his ID# A654819, appears to have led a terrible life in the two short years he has been alive.

On Thursday, the SAPA Urgents & Adoptables Facebook page outlined the danger this young dog is in:

THIS DOG IS IN ACS KENNELS & AT RISK OF BEING KILLED. SHELTER EVALUATES SPACE AT: 9:30am Mon-Sat, and again at 5pm Mon-Fri & 3pm Sat. Or at anytime as space is needed.

What happened to this dog to leave him in such a pitiful state of health? Why were his owners able to surrender him without facing cruelty charges? These are questions that may never be answered. All that is truly known is that this dog urgently needs help to survive. He is young and deserves to know that people can be kind. He deserves to know what it means to be loved.

Please help by networking his adoption information. Find the adoption profile here.
