For months, an adorable 14-month-old French bulldog stolen at gunpoint from Northwest D.C. in April has been missing. Sadly, Bruno was found dead in Clinton, Maryland, according to the Prince George’s County Department of the Environment. It is not clear exactly when the dog’s body was found or when he died, but he was identified via his microchip.
Jamaica Harvey, the dog’s owner is heartbroken. He had been a part of the family, and now he’s gone. The family is hoping for justice.
Harvey’s boyfriend had been walking Bruno in Brightwood Park on April 13 when four men jumped out an SUV with a gun and demanded the dog and other property. They picked up Bruno and sped away.
On that same day Bruno was stolen, within minutes the same thieves stole another dog named Pablo, in the Shaw neighborhood. Police arrived at the home where four people had been staying and found Pablo who was later reunited with his owner.
Jamaica never gave up hope trying to find her beloved dog and was able to offer a $10,000 reward for his safe return.
