Man caught on video abusing dog surrenders to police

Anaheim, CA – A man, caught on video kicking and hitting a dog in the Gateway Apartment complex, has turned himself in to the authorities. On Thursday morning, the Anaheim Police Department issued a release about the 33-year-old suspect, who was wanted on a felony arrest warrant because of the viral abuse video:

Suspect Albert Abad has turned himself in to Anaheim PD. Detectives are following up on the location of the dog seen in the video**

The video, turned over to the police on Sept. 15, showed a black dog being chased down the apartment hallway. A man can be seen kicking and hitting the cowering dog, who appears to be trying to escape.

According to the police, the dog in the video has not been located yet. As such, the dog’s condition remains unknown.
