Two of the latest videos by Michael W. Ledbetter on TikTok have charmed our hearts. His account @justbeingchivalrous featured two videos that garnered more than a million views collectively, and the subject – an adorable raccoon couldn’t be any cuter, and in this particular situation any more thankful to his new hero.
In the town of Black Creek, Georgia, Ledbetter had been out in the woods with his dog when the pooch spotted a raccoon. The dog immediately went into chase mode, when Ledbetter stopped the dog before he caught the raccoon.
And in most animal friendly videos, the dog would have ceased his chase, and the raccoon would have safely scampered off, but not this time. Instead, the raccoon snuggled with the man, and who will likely never know why, but it was caught on video, and TikTok viewers just couldn’t get enough.

There has been quite a bit of speculation as to why the raccoon was so docile. Could he had been raised by a human and then freed in the forest?
