‘Goofy’ cross-eyed dog scheduled to be put down if rescue isn’t found

A goofy, cross-eyed dog stuck at a Miami, Florida, animal control facility is at risk of being put down if rescue cannot be found. His name is Joe and he has been at the Miami-Dade Animal Services facility since mid-July. According to the Rescue Me Miami Animal Shelter Facebook page, the shelter is completely full and Joe is out of time.

On Tuesday night, the page posted a photo of Joe looking dejected and hopeless, writing:

Last update for the night, we do not know the exact date of euth! THE SHELTER IS FULL! DOGS KEEP COMING IN! GET HIM OUT NOW! WE CANNOT GUARANTEE ANYTHING! NOTHING SET IN STONE FOR HIM YET.

😭BEING EUTHANIZED IF NOT RESCUED! PLEASE HELP!

Joe’s shelter biography states that he is a sweet boy with a goofy personality:

Being cross eyed doesn’t stop this gentle giant from looking for love. Joe is a silly, treat-loving boy who loves to play. His favorite game is tug-of-war, and will be very grateful to have a bunch of rope toys in his new home. Make sure you check out his gorgeous, spotted coat and give him an extra pet for being a good boy.

It is a sad reality that good boys like Joe can be put down because of space constraints at shelter facilities…Joe does not deserve to die. Please share his adoption information and help him beat the formidable odds that are stacked against him.
