This week, a real-life cat burglar, make that a kitten burglar, was removed from an ATM machine in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Nobody is sure how the pint-sized feline accessed the machine, but she/he apparently became hopelessly trapped inside.

On July 7, the Fort Smith Fire Department posted images of the rescue effort, writing:

P-1, R-1 cat stuck in an ATM. Rescue was successful, and the cat was handed over to Animal Control.

Comments on the post indicate that the kitten was at an ATM at Regions Bank, but everyone seems to be in the dark as to HOW the kitten got inside.

Regardless of how the kitten got inside, the good news is that he/she was noticed and is now safe. Great job to the rescuers!
