Sheriff Wayne Ivey, of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, personally accompanied a 32-year-old woman to jail on Thursday after she was charged with animal cruelty for drowning her Chihuahua in a swimming pool and live-streaming the dog’s dead body. Her roommate turned over the video of the egregious incident recorded in October just recently to authorities.

Erica Black has been charged with felony animal cruelty and was already held in jail pending a $150,000 bond for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. She is alleged to have stabbed a 68-year-old man twice.

Sheriff Ivy described the video as “the most horrific thing I’ve ever seen in my life” in a video on the Facebook page for the department. The disturbing video showed Black walking into the pool while holding her Chihuahua, Sadie, in her arms. She then knelt down and held the dog under water while it could be seen struggling for its life.

The sheriff opted against showing the rest of the video, but described what he saw when Black allegedly left the pup’s lifeless body float in the pool in order to video it before she repeatedly slammed it on the deck. The sheriff alleges Black then left the dog’s body on the sofa in the apartment for days and then live-streamed that on social media.

In addition to the current bail set at $150,000, the judge on Friday added another $15,000.

If I hear she has as much as a pet rock, I will lose my crap, because this woman doesn’t deserve to have anything. She deserves to rot in jail. She’s not only committed an act of animal cruelty but an act against humanity. There is a special place in Hell for this woman. Until she gets there, she’s gonna rot in our jail.

  1. This POS has earned herself a reserved space in the hottest part of Hell where she can burn forever for her cruelty.

Poor precious little treasure Sadie, you didn’t deserve to be murdered. I am very sorry for your suffering. What happened to you is beyond what anyone would suffer.

Sadly the main human responsibile for keeping you safe was pure evil and failed in her duties to protect you from harm.
