Adorable ‘Bennet’ is just a baby, and already on death row

Update 11/11/2022: According to Bennet’s adoption profile, an adoption has been processed but cannot be completed until his stray hold is up.

San Antonio, TX – An adorable pup dubbed Bennet is facing the end of his life, through no fault of his own. The three-month-old puppy was taken in at the city of San Antonio Animal Services facility as a stray, and his “due out” date is 11/08/2022.

Sadly, the due out date can mean death to dogs who have not been reclaimed by their owner, adopted, or saved by a rescue group. Even adorable puppies like Bennet. Puppies who should be wrapped up in the arms of their owner, showered in love, and lavished with puppy toys.

On Tuesday afternoon, the SAPA Urgents & Adoptables Facebook page posted a photo of Bennet, and pointed out the danger he is in:

THIS DOG IS IN ACS KENNELS & AT RISK OF BEING KILLED. SHELTER EVALUATES SPACE AT: 9:30am Mon-Sat, and again at 5pm Mon-Fri & 3pm Sat. Or at any time as space is needed.
