A lost pup found wandering along the fire line by firefighters who were battling the Apple Fire was carried to safety by an Orange County fireman. By Tuesday the Queensland heeler had been reunited with his owner.
According to an Instagram post from the Orange County Professional Firefighters, the rescuers gave him water and even a bite of a sandwich. They carried the dog down the hillside before handing him off to an animal control representative, the post stated.
