A litter of kittens is recovering from severe injuries resulting from being accidentally hit with a weed wacker in Charleston, South Carolina. The Charleston Animal Society has stated that a landscaping company brought four kittens in after they were accidentally injured by a worker who did not see them in tall grass.
According to the animal welfare agency, all of the kittens suffered lacerations to their faces and paws and two of them have broken legs. One of the kittens may not survive because the injuries are so severe.
On Friday, the shelter updated Facebook followers about the kittens:
The three kittens who suffered lacerations and were eating pretty well went into a foster home together! Their recovery is still guarded. They are only between two and three weeks old. The fourth baby is here in our care with our Veterinary services manager!
