Dog dangles from apartment balcony

People watch in horror as dog dangles from apartment balcony

People standing beneath an apartment balcony in Tampa, Florida, watched in horror as a dog dangled between the balcony’s slats. According to WFLA News, good Samaritans called the police for help, but until the authorities arrived, it was a terrifying wait.

The people gathered below the dog, along with the responding police officers, decided to take action to ensure that the pup would survive if he fell to the ground below. Someone got a sheet and the good Samaritans held it below the second-story balcony in anticipation of the dog’s fall.

Sure enough, the dog finally fell through the slats – but the sheet caught him and amazingly, the dog was not injured. Cheers broke out in the crowd once it was determined that the pup had survived the harrowing plunge to the ground. One of the witnesses told WFLA, “I’m just thankful that God placed them in the right place at the right time and they were able to save this dog successfully.”

Even though the dog appeared to be okay, someone took him to a veterinarian for a precautionary exam. Great rescue Tampa heroes!!

Great job officers! The owner should be arrested for negligence! Why would anyone leave any pet on a balcony in the heat and with the chance of injuring itself ! Hope the little one gets rehomed to a loving home.

Leave the owner hanging from the same balcony for a while to see how he/she feels and slowly let go until they feel the panic this dog must have felt. Charge this thing for animal cruelty.

OMG! THANK YOU DEAR GOD FOR THIS LITTLE ANGEL BEING SAVED! Poor little sweetheart! THESE PEOPLE AND POLICE OFFICERS ARE ALL AMAZING HEROES! So happy that they took action instead of just filming it and doing nothing to help, which is so common when an animal is in need! If this little dogs owner left this dog outside and they were not there they need to take this dog away! Not only was this extremely dangerous it’s so damn hot in Florida, especially three stories up! So irresponsible and neglectful! Wow! This is one hell of a story!

Great job to the good samaritans…but, why is this dog left on an obviously dangerous balcony, especially in this heat…forget the heat…obviously this balcony wasn’t safe and he shouldn’t have been alone out there. I hope they learn a lesson from this and that they were thankful and reimbursed the kind person that brought their dog to the vet.
