Update: Adopted!

A dog, confiscated from his owner and taken to an animal control agency in Cumberland County, North Carolina, offers a hopeful smile as he begs for attention from people who pass near his kennel run.

The dog, dubbed “Townsend,” was taken from his family for reasons which have not been disclosed to the volunteers who are trying to save his life. The Facebook page, Friends of Cumberland Co., NC Shelter Animals, wrote:

He is very sweet, sat nice on command, and even looks like a real cutie with that smile, waiting on his treat. I just love this sweet boy, he rubs his body up against the kennel doors just begging for some love and pets. He is a must meet, please come, you will not be disappointed when you meet this total lovebug!

According to the volunteer-run Facebook page, the animal control agency is full and every homeless pet is considered to be “Urgent.”

Please share Townsend’s adoption information to help save his life.
