In the Lincoln Park section of Chicago, a five-year-old Sheepadoodle (sheepdog blended with poodle) that went missing was reunited with his family Sunday evening, after hundreds of strangers and Good Samaritans provided important tips and help on the case.

The dog named Charlie had been momentarily tied up by his owner outside of the children’s daycare, the Goddard School, near Clifton and Armitage Avenues on Friday evening at 6:30 p.m., and when they returned Charlie was gone.
The thief’s movement became all important as the word of Charlie’s disappearance went viral on social media.
First, two people spotted Charlie in a nearby Target store and the super sleuths followed the alleged thief and Charlie back to their apartment. The next afternoon, they followed Charlie’s abductor Uptown and called police and the dog’s real owner.
Sean and Erin Franzblau, Charlie’s owners were extremely grateful for all the help and thanked the total strangers as well as authorities for reaching out to find their beloved dog.

Sean had offered a $5,000 reward for Charlie’s return which was to be split with the two Good Samaritans who actually found the dog. The news of this gets even better; one of the recipients of the reward money gave their share to the second person because they felt that person needed the money more.
Welcome home Charlie.
