In Lutz, Florida, a missing 96-year-old man who had been reported missing was found safe, thanks to the incredible nose and ability of a Florida bloodhound officer from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

Ray Cornett had been missing on Saturday from his home located about 15 miles from Tampa. Because of his age and slower mobility, he was described as a “missing and endangered person.”
Cornett’s home is located in a swampy and very rural area.
And so Boomer arrived to help in the search. When he and his handler arrived at Cornett’s home, Boomer was presented with the man’s personal items, and the scent was received by the incredible K9 officer – and off they went.
Soon after, Boomer led the officers to the man, who had been stuck and not able to move about 100 yards from his house. Fortunately, Cornett was safe, uninjured and returned to his home.
