Late last week, an officer from the Waukegan Police Animal Control near Riverwood, Illinois, found adoptable Bjorn. An unknown person had left him in a carrier on the side of the road. The temperature was below freezing, and Bjorn remained in his carrier. He was cold, lonely and undoubtedly scared.

Check out the video:

Orphans of the Storm Shelter are now caring for Bjorn, and although they don’t know why the senior cat was abandoned, he is safe and receiving the care he needs and deserves.

This handsome senior is described as a quiet, gentle soul. When he first meets someone new, he is a bit shy but once he feels safe, he melts into your hands and soaks up all the attention.

Bjorn is simply looking for a calm, loving home where he can relax, be cherished and enjoy the cozy moments life has to offer. Please come meet him.

And a big thank you to the Waukegan Police Animal Control for getting him to safety. Community partnerships like this are so important — they help pets like Bjorn get the second chance they deserve.

(UPDATE: Bjorn has been adopted, BUT there are more who needs homes. Just tell them Bjorn sent you.)
