Sarasota police officer rescues tiny ball of fur scurrying across highway just to get trapped in wheel well

In Sarasota, Florida, a police officer has respectfully earned the title of “kitty whisperer” after a tiny ball of fluff scurried across a busy highway, only to get herself trapped in a stopped car’s wheel well.

According to the Sarasota Police Department, the frightened kitten ran across Highway 301 and attempted to hide under a vehicle that had been stopped for a traffic light.

A bodycam video, released by the police department, showed the driver of the stopped car alerting the officer of the kitten running underneath his vehicle and not coming out. And so we have another angel without wings when the officer crawled underneath the vehicle, found the kitten trapped in the wheel well and gently pulled her to safety while wrapping her in a towel.

Check out the video:

Great job by Officer Beskin.

The kitten was brought to Sarasota Animal Services.
