At the Brother Wolf Animal Rescue in Asheville, North Carolina a one-pound puppy had been the sole survivor of a car accident. When found, the puppy was so fragile and tiny, he needed to be bottle fed every few hours. It was not known if he would live. His mom and littermates had not survived the crash.
Rescuers named him Maple Biscuit, and this little guy had a “spark.” When he arrived, the first order of business was to regulate his body temperature and start him on a bottle feeding regimen. It so happens Maple Biscuit was quite the fighter!
Now that same puppy, who no one was sure would survive this terrible ordeal, is two-months of age and is “full of life.” He loves to play, is curious and has all the signs of a happy, active and sweet puppy. He has been in foster homes with other dogs and is well-socialized, and everyone who meets him just wind up adoring the cute pooch.
Maple Biscuit is believed to be a Labrador retriever mix and is available starting today to be ready for adoption.
