A happy, tail wagging Anatolian shepherd named S’mores was returned to a California animal shelter after ONE HOUR “for being too big.” The dog weighed in at 78 pounds, which happens to be on the smaller side for the breed who usually weigh in between 80 to 150 pounds.

One could safely assume would be adopters met the dog and had been familiar with his size?

So all that aside, S’mores had entered the shelter as a stray at the Stanislaus Animal Services Agency in Modesto and had been adopted just six days later. It was volunteer Heather Gee, who shared the dog’s video on TikTok and who had described S’mores as a friendly and loving dog.

Check out S’mores short clip and have your tissues ready:

When returned, poor S’mores was confused and had no idea what could have gone wrong. Readers were just as disappointed, but not with S’mores; the main question – why didn’t an adopter notice S’mores was not a small dog?

Did they not see his size before they left the shelter?!? Poor baby

S’mores’ video garnered more than 1.1 million views.

The good news for S’mores does make us smile. S’mores was moved from the shelter to a nonprofit rescue known on Instagram as @notyouraveragerescueinc. And yes, this sweet dog has found a home, and his new family is delighted with his size and everything about him.

Live a long and happy life S’mores.
