In Cudahy, California, an abandoned puppy had been wandering the streets in Cudahy, California. No matter who tried to help her, the nine-month-old German shepherd was so frightened she just kept running away. She was thirsty, hungry and exhausted, and there had been no relief for the past week.
It had been animal advocate and rescuer, Mary Nakiso, who quickly reached out to Suzette Hall, founder of Logan’s Legacy 29; Hall arrived later in the day to help trap the dog. Other concerned neighbors had been trying to rescue her, but all of the strange people and loud noises just made her run farther away.
I just know my angel, my Logan Hall was guiding Mary to the street. His heart dogs were German shepherds. Thankfully Mary was able to get her secured in a yard until I could get therem. The kind man was so nice to let us do that.

Neighbors said it had been days they had watched the dog just scavenge around for food. She couldn’t find any scraps, and therefore the timing had been a good sign to set a humane trap to safely capture her.
The dog was successfully trapped in a Good Samaritan’s side yard, but she still wouldn’t allow anyone to get close; rescues would have to be creative.
When Suzette first arrived, it appeared the dog had disappeared, but she had been so frightened she had taken refuge underneath a tarp in the yard. She refused to come out, and because she was so hungry, she quickly found her way to the food baited trap. RESCUED!

She is just a puppy; the pictures make her look bigger than she really is. She instantly fell asleep; she was exhausted.
