Anna Dugan, the 32-year-old woman who was kicked off of a Delta flight on October 12, has spoken out about the incident that went viral on social media. Dugan spoke exclusively with Inside Edition about getting booted from the New York-bound flight that was departing from Atlanta.

According to Dugan, she “lost control,” after being asked to put her dog, Sam, back in his carrier for the flight. Though Dugan complied with the request, she called the flight attendants petty, and things escalated dramatically from there. An announcement was made over the intercom that the plane was being turned around and Dugan was told that she needed to grab her things because she had to exit the plane.

Dugan said that she was stunned by the demand and that she lost her temper when passengers started to record what was happening with their phones, and some were shouting (in Dugan’s words) “absurd things” at her. Dugan hurled a water bottle at one man who yelled at her to get off the plane, and she smacked someone’s phone away as she walked towards the exit with her dog and bags.

Dugan was not arrested, but she is pretty sure that she will be banned from future flights. She told Inside Edition that she is not proud of the way that she acted on the plane.
