Woman dyed her dog red and green to look like Grinch gets mixed reviews on social media

The owner of a miniature Schnauzer who decided to give her dog a Christmas makeover by dying her fur green, red and white to look like the Grinch has certainly garnered both pro and con views via social media.

Ashley Spietmann, mother of five who lives in Chicago, Illinois took her dog to the groomers, and from a white fluffy little pooch, she turned Rizzo into the canine version of the Grinch. And proud of her pooch, Ashley posted the rather dramatic results on TikTok. Many of the comments initially ranged from accusations of animal cruelty to animal abuse.

And so here we go with some of the opinions after Rizzo had his head, legs and tail dyed green. His body was dyed red as if he was donned in a Santa coat.

Ashley didn’t seem to be offended by the criticism. In fact, she posted additional videos. There were comments that the dye was most likely pet friendly since it had been done at a professional groomer.
