Meet 15-year-old Labrador retriever, Jackson who is a much loved senior. Lately, his hips have been giving him trouble. The sight of Jackson having so much difficulty going up and down the stairs pained his humans, but Jackson insisted upon being with his family in their South Carolina home, so there was just no stopping him.

Senior dogs become more dependent on their owners, and it becomes even more important as dogs age to make sure they get the best veterinary care, frequent well examinations and accompanying medications and treatments to make their lives more comfortable. Jackson’s hip dysplasia had been causing him a considerable amount of discomfort, and his family spared no expense to help him out.

And then came the installation of an elevator in the home. The family had wanted an elevator in the home to help them in their senior years navigate the stairs, but maybe installing it a bit earlier would benefit Jackson?

In a TikTok video, @Loganmend624, shared the clip of Jackson in the elevator. Of course, he needs close supervision whenever he enters the transparent tube which transports one person or one dog at a time. The videos have become internet successes, which included how the dog would get in and out of the tube.

While an elevator for our senior dogs may not be in the budget for most of us, it sure does warm our hearts knowing how much our canine pals are loved.

  1. I completely understand the family installed the elevator for their future use. If it benefits their furbaby, even better😀😀😀
