At Seymour Peak in North Vancouver, British Columbia, an all volunteer mountain search and rescue team, the North Shore Rescue were called out on Monday via an InReach satellite device to help a hiking party rescue their dog who injured his paws along the trail.

According to the organization, hikers were attempting to carry the 100+ pound dog down a steep area with dangerous hazards, making it extremely difficult to carry a dog of that size through the rough terrain.

NSR responded to Tim Jones peak and landed at our pad at the top. Members hiked to the dog’s location and carried the dog back to the LZ where the dog, owner and hiking partner were flown back to Seymour parking.
