In the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul, a playful pooch decided he wanted to be friends with “that guy.” Of course, you’re wondering who “that guy” was, but Eduardo Paganella, a reporter for RBS, an affiliate of TV Globo, seemed to have quickly made a new friend.

According to Eduardo, and his Instagram account as user  @eduardopaganella, the dog approached him and seemed to think this was a good guy who surely wanted to play. And even though the reporter was getting ready to go live on-air, the pooch surrounded him, sniffed and then jumped on him as if to encourage the man to play.

“All set to go live until the ‘au-audience’ appeared. I made a friend,” said the journalist .

All set to go on the air until the AU-Audience showed up. I made a friend but I think he mistook the mic for a bone.

Dogs moving into the television screen can be quite unusual, but it does happen. In perhaps the finest short video from two Russian journalists and their camera person, happened with the arrival of Spring in Moscow. Moments later, in wanders a beautiful Golden retriever who thought he was going to star in a television special? The anchor had been speaking with a weather reporter when suddenly the huge head of the dog pushed the weather reporter backwards and snatched the brightly colored microphone from the woman’s hand.

The camera person, obviously a very good humored sport, used his camera to pan in on the dog and the reporter chasing after the dog to retrieve her microphone. Incidentally, the anchor person was able to keep a straight face throughout the incident, and yes, the microphone was recaptured – a few bite marks on it, but who cared? The broadcast was a hit!

Just in case you need another giggle, check this video out too.

Many thanks to all of our television news reporters. We all so love when your kindness and humor shows.
