In Oklahoma City, what one might have read in fairy tale books of “the big bad wolf” certainly didn’t apply to a lost wolf spotted near a daycare center on Monday. Officers from the Oklahoma City Police had already been informed of a resident who lost their 85% wolf and 15% Alaskan Malamute pet.

LOST!! A fence panel fell in my backyard while I was gone and my dog Nova got out. She was last spotted near The Village area but please, if anyone sees her please please let me know! She’s super timid so she doesn’t usually approach other people unless she knows them!

When officers arrived at the scene, Sgt. Stanley with help from the canine’s owner, Dani, were able to convince the very cordial Nova to join him in his squad car and pose for selfies.

A BIG thank you to the Oklahoma City Police Department and The Village Police Department for helping me find my Nova!! It’s been a terrifying 24hrs and now she gets to have a much needed bath and nap, thanks in large part to them and The Village community. Words cannot express how thankful I am!

Many thanks to the compassionate and patient police officers who helped bring Nova safely back home. Please stop by their Facebook page and give the officers an “attaboy” – they make us all proud!
