In San Diego, snake trapper, Bruce Ireland posted a video that quickly went viral on TikTok. The video has garnered more than three million views with hundreds of thousands “likes” as people could barely believe this poor pup’s predicament.

Ireland is quickly able to remove the snake while offering the good natured pooch some treats.
There are some precautionary processes dog owners can heed in order to keep their dogs away from snakes. This particular pup was very lucky that the snake was harmless and Ireland was able to help him immediately. While walking with your dog, make sure you keep him leashed and stop him from sticking his face into bushes and rock crevices where snakes tend to hide. It’s also preferable to stay on well attended trails so you can see what’s ahead.
If your pet is bitten by a poisonous snake, don’t wait to get him to the veterinarian. If available, antivenom should be given to neutralize the poison.
