Culver City, CA – A devastating fire has killed 17 cats at a boarding facility in a Culver City strip mall. According to sources, the fire broke out during the early morning hours on Saturday and was reported to emergency officials by someone who noticed flames around 5:45 a.m.
The pet hotel, Cat Place LA, was inundated with heavy smoke from the blaze, and all but two cats died. The boarding facility boasted a “luxury, cage-free” environment for cats to enjoy while their families were away.
As reported by Live 5 News, 120 firefighters responded to the fire and one was injured and had to be taken to a hospital for treatment.
