Iowa – A resilient cat has been through the “absolute wringer,” suffering from burns and frostbite. The mighty survivor is being cared for by the Humane Society of Northwest Iowa which shared her plight with Facebook followers on Thursday:
Meet our sweet girl Valencia!
This gorgeous girl came into our care this afternoon. She has been through the absolute wringer. She smells like fire and has obvious frostbite. It’s a long shot but we’re going to give it our all!
The community response has been overwhelming and Valencia is staying strong in spite of the extensive trauma she has endured. The animal welfare agency said:
This amazing girl is baffling us all with her ability to stay sweet and positive through all that she has been through! She is continuing to SLOWLY improve, which is all that we can ask for at this point!
