After seven years of producing puppies, a dog named Chelsea faced being euthanized. Fortunately, Chelsea’s story did not end there. The Huntingdon County Humane Society explained how she was saved:

Her primary purpose was to breed and produce beautiful puppies. Once she reached the age of 7 she was discarded and a local vet was called to come to the farm and euthanize her.

After it was determined that nothing was wrong with Chelsea, the animal welfare agency was contacted and they agreed to take her in. The shelter writes:

look at that smile! She knows she is safe. She will be spayed next week and will then be ready to find a forever home that includes plush couches, soft blankets, long walks and unconditional love.

Better days are ahead Chelsea! Find the shelter’s Facebook page here.
