A man in Coffee County, Tennessee, is facing a charge of animal cruelty for stabbing a dog, and cutting out the canine’s heart. As reported by WANE News, the man accused of the cruel act is identified as Brandon Lankford.
Lankford was in the process of burying the dog’s body on February 12, when the authorities arrived to his home to investigate a disturbance. Lankford told the officers that he was “busy” burying his dog. The authorities could see a dog with a “large stab wound on its neck and another on its body.”
The accused man explained to the officers that he “stabbed his dog and removed its heart to get rid of the demons in the house.”
The accused dog killer has been jailed and he is due in court on April 26.
