An elderly German shepherd, estimated to be between 10 and 12 years of age, is in need of a safe and loving place to call home for what remains of his life. The senior dog, named Midas, was found with his son in the home of their owner, who had passed away.

On Sunday, Midas’ advocate recounted what is known:

He was found along with his son in the home of their deceased owner, whom was dead for quite while. They appeared very thin and neglected. They have blossomed at the shelter and the son, Monroe, may have a home but not Midas and he needs out of the shelter quickly.

Midas has some mobility issues, but he is described as housebroken, “very social,” and “a love.”

Midas is not doing well in the shelter environment, and needs to enjoy the final chapter of his life in a home, with someone committed to keeping him happy and comfortable. Can you please help? You can email [email protected] with questions.
