A dog is trembling in the back of her kennel at the BARC Animal Shelter & Adoptions facility in Texas. The dog, named Natasha, is only three years of age, and it appears that she has never known anything in the way of kindness.

According to Houston Underdogs, Natasha was seized after being found in a neglectful home. The agency writes:

Natasha is in need of your help, she has lived a horrible life. She was found tied up with no water or food during a warrant search and signed over by her owners on 5-12. She is terrified and has probably never been shown any type of affection. She’s scared at BARC, but her kennel is the nicest place she’s ever had. And she doesn’t have to worry about food or water. We just don’t understand why people bother having animals, if this is how they keep them. We are heartbroken for her.

Natasha is an urgent case – she must be pulled from the facility before she ends up on the “euthanasia list.”
