World turned upside down for surrendered golden retriever

On February 13, the world turned upside down for a surrendered golden retriever. The two-year-old dog, named Rocko, was surrendered to the Palmdale Animal Care Center in Los Angeles County, California.

Golden retrievers are one of the most beloved breeds in the nation, but Rocko somehow finds himself cast away from his family and alone at the animal control agency. Judging by his intake photo, he is confused, overwhelmed, frightened and heartbroken over his current situation.

Saving Rocko

You can help Rocko find a new, loving and devoted family, by taking a moment to share his adoption information. Find Rocko’s profile here.

This is a wonderful breed. He appears to be a purebred and very young. They’re easy to train and want to please. I’ve never had one that doesn’t love children too. He looks scared and confused on the photo.
