Video shows Miami man beat puppy in elevator

In Miami, Florida, a video of a puppy being beaten and thrown against the wall has resulted in the arrest of a 21-year-old man on Wednesday. Karim Ellaisy has been charged with animal cruelty.

According to News7Miami, the disturbing situation was captured on video January 30 at Brickel Heights in the early evening. A man and a dog entered the elevator and it appeared the puppy had an accident and urinated on the floor. The dog was then thrown against the wall and repeatedly slapped several times. The neighbor who witnessed the event called police.

The six-month-old Siberian husky puppy named Ajax did not belong to Ellaisy and belonged to his roommate. The puppy has since been returned to his owner.

Ellaisy is due in court on February 28.

If that POS were my roommate, he would be my ex-roommate and have a new custom residence in the morgue……

NO reason to harm a puppy. Puppies will make messes from time to time. One has to train them (& it takes time and patience as well as good cleaning supplies)……

I hope the roommate keeps Ajax safe from his POS (ex, I hope) roommate…….

You go Floridians! I’m so PROUD that you all took a stand a couple of years ago DEMANDING THAT YOUR LAWMAKERS and LAW ENFORCEMENT STEP UP or take a permanent vacation because YOUR tax dollars will NOT support VILE THUGS getting away with EGREGIOUS violence anymore. We have a group of 3600 that closely watch and carefully donate ONLY to rescues in states that FIGHT for THEIR right to be protected from these SADISTIC monsters. THANK you for being a GREAT example of what ALL states ought to be fighting for, because ANYONE who has been violated KNOWS the perpetrators have a record of abusing ANIMALS FIRST.
