Reward offered in animal abuse cases

A Detroit-based animal shelter is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for animal abuse cases involving a badly neglected dog and two fatally injured kittens. On Saturday, the Friends for Animals of Metro Detroit offered information in the cruelty cases, writing:

FAMD is offering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrator in two separate cases that occurred on the evening of Friday, June 12, 2020.

Explaining the horrible neglect suffered by an elderly dog:

In the first case, a 12+ year old dog was believed to be abandoned at the shelter intake facility after hours, as Dearborn Animal Control picked her up on shelter property at 8 pm. Fortunately the dog, who the shelter has named Antoinette, was found before she wandered into the road.

Antoinette has a horrible flea infestation, skin infection and she is missing most of her teeth. The senior dog’s ears are disfigured from years of untreated infections.

The shelter offered details about the kitten cruelty case, writing:

On the same evening, 2 kittens – one black and one grey and white – were found on Oakman, south of Warren. Both kittens were found with similar head injuries that were likely the result of abuse. Unfortunately, both kittens had succumbed to their injuries.

Reward for information

Abandonment of a pet is a misdemeanor, which is punishable by up to a $500 fine and 30 days in jail. Anyone with any information on either of these cases is asked to call FAMD at 313.943.2697. A reward of $500 will be given for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrators.

  1. If I was in that area, (I live in Seattle) I would foster this precious treasure in a heartbeat. She would get lots of snuggles to reassure her that the world is OK!!!
My husband and I specifically adopt older animals. Senior pets are fantastic companions and show their love every chance they have…… But sadly, I don’t think we are in the “majority” of adopters…..
The POS family who neglected her has reserved spaces in the hottest part of Hell waiting for them where they will burn forever for their cruelty to their senior furbaby…….
Do people really think there is a long line of potential adopters for elderly furbabies???
I hope a local adopter or rescue can open their heart and home for this precious treasure!!!
It is heartbreaking to think of seniors being euthanized when they should be with their family…… to me, the worst fate is to be euthanized alone, afraid, in pain and unloved……. I am praying that St. Francis looks out for this precious little treasure……

  2. The kittens who were abused and killed break my heart…… they were babies with all the love in the world to share….. their lives were stolen before they had a chance to live, love and be loved….. Precious little treasures, I know that you are absolutely in Heaven. Please look for MacKitty and join his wonderful snuggle buddies group and RIP amongst loving friends.
The POS who tortured these precious little treasures is pure evil!!!!!!!! Lock this POS up and lose the keys!!!!! Should only leave prison in a pine box (& that is way too good for him)……. He will burn in the hottest part of Hell forever for his cruelty……. He can’t get to Hell fast enough………

  3. CAN WE DONATE BOTH TO INCREASE THE REWARD AND TO HELP PAY VETERINARY EXPENSES?

IN ANY CASE, THE LUNATIC IS ALREADY HALFWAY TO HELL!
