Three teens are accused of attacking several men who tried to stop them from abusing a dog in Onondaga County, New York. As reported by Local SYR News, the first man, 65 years of age, who tried to intervene was knocked unconscious by the teens. Another man, aged 66, also stopped to help and was seriously injured when the teens assaulted him.
A third man, age 40, also stopped to help and he sustained minor facial injuries from the teens. One more man stopped to help and the group of teens finally fled the scene.
The authorities were able to track down the offending teens and they are now facing charges. As reported by the news agency, two 15-year-olds and a 16-year-old are facing multiple charges, including gang assault, assault and torturing/injuring an animal.
The identity of the teenagers has not been released. The fate of the abused dog is unknown.
The good Samaritans are expected to recover.
