A video captures a man dragging dogs into a crowded Texas animal control facility to be surrendered. In the video, the man can be seen dragging three very reluctant pups into the building – an explanation about the situation reveals that the man surrendered a total of SIX dogs to the animal control agency. He cited “moving” as the reason that these lives were turned over to the facility.

The Facebook page, Harris County Animal Shelter Pets in Need writes:
We have videos of two these dogs here on this page 536248 and 536250. Turns out he drug in 6 dogs, not just the ones we see here, with his son in tow. Reason for surrender “moving”
This is a small snapshot into what the shelter staff see every day. Sickening isn’t itugh
The Harris County Animal Shelter is swimming in unwanted pets right now because of people like the man in the video. People who are not committed to providing their pets with a forever home. People who surrender their cats and dogs for a slew of reasons…from a baby is on the way, to moving, allergies, or I just don’t have time.
These unwanted animals have no control over their fate. Their only “mistake” was being owned by a uncommitted person who looks upon them as disposable objects.
The Facebook page writes:
As sick as this is to watch, it is a daily reality at HCAS.
So glad there is an army of animal advocates that work together to find alternative solutions for these pets that others see as disposable.
Please do something – anything. Share, donate, volunteer, adopt. The animals are relying on the kindness of strangers.
