An elderly dog, neglected and missing all of her teeth, is in danger of losing her life because she has zero interest from potential adopters or rescue groups. The 12-year-old Maltese, named Plum, is in need of a great deal of tender loving care, but nobody appears to be interested in offering it to her.

On October 30, a networking page for homeless dogs wrote of Plum’s sad situation:

UPDATE 10/30: Plum has among the fewest shares of any dog we have ever posted. We just don’t understand. RIVERSIDE, CA

Adding:

We cannot allow little Plum’s life to end here!
🌟 12 yr old Plum desperately needs us to see her. She is critically urgent due to medical & she needs us, NOW. RIVERSIDE, CA

Without question, Plum has seen better days – according to her medical notes, she is missing all of her teeth and has mammary tumors. Perhaps her medical issues are simply too much for anyone to want to consider saving her.

But she deserves the chance to receive veterinary care and know that she is loved in what remains of her life. Please consider networking Plum’s adoption information to help her find her way out of the animal control agency, and into a home.

  1. My heart aches for this poor furbaby…… she needs to be in a nice quiet home, being snuggled and reassurance that she is going to be ok and that the world is ok too.

It is heartbreaking to think of seniors being euthanized when they should be with their family…… to me, the worst fate is to be euthanized alone, afraid, in pain and unloved…….

OMG: what a sweetheart!!! I wish I was local so I could foster her…… I hope she finds a new furever family ASAP who will treasure her and treat her as a beloved family member……..

  2. My heart goes out to victims of abuse. BUT, you all must wake up to the reality that MONEY will RUN out, foster homes WILL BE FULL, permanent homes WILL decrease, because individually we have ONLY SO MUCH MONEY, ROOM and TIME.
I suggest putting MORE time in to changing state laws, outing LAZY, DERELICT law enforcement, animal control and judges to local communities to motivate THEM to vote these CORRUPT public officials OUT. The REAL issue in these areas where vile torture is an EVERYDAY OCCURANCE is that those who are supposed to ENFORCE laws/codes, but DO NOTHING to deter sadistic barbarians from repeating these offences. Ignore this and one day YOU TOO WILL BE IGNORED. That simple folks.
